Tchaikovsky’s lushly romantic violin concerto is filled with soaring melodies and folk rhythms and showcases the composer’s lyric genius. As exciting and tuneful as his famous New World Symphony (if not more so), Dvorak’s Eighth Symphony revels in the sheer joy of being alive in a world of natural wonders.
