GOLD is a feature length documentary that focuses on the lives of the women who currently work at the Gold Nugget strip club in Spread Eagle, Northern Wisconsin. The Nugget is run by Dusty, who was an exotic dancer in the 90s. During her time as a dancer, Dusty was able to become financially independent and found the confidence to leave her abusive husband. The film highlights Dusty's story, as well as touching on the lives of four of the women who currently work at the club. GOLD is an inspiring story of resilience, overcoming oppression, and finding your voice. It's a film empowering those in the sex industry and highlighting all the good that can come from independence, self-respect, confidence, and bodily autonomy.
