The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival (FLMTF) continues its 2017 season with the movie blockbuster turned musical-comedy, Ghost The Musical. The show runs August 30 through September 16 at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Emerson Park.

Based on the iconic 1990 movie, Ghost The Musical is brought to life on stage in a clever, funny, suspenseful, romantic love story for the whole family. Sam and Molly are moving into their new New York City loft when Sam is killed by a street thug. He finds himself trapped between worlds, but with a newly discovered power to communicate through select people. However, when Sam discovers the true circumstances of his death, it's a race against the clock to save his sweetheart from the same fate. Book and lyrics by Bruce Joel Rubin and music and lyrics by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard.

The Ghost cast includes Derek Carley (Nick Hurley in Flashdance the Musical/National Tour) as Sam Wheat, Sarah Ellis (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder /National Tour) as Molly Jensen, Allyson Kaye Daniel (The Color Purple / National Tour) as Oda Mae Brown and Ben Maters (Abraham Lincoln in Honestly Abe/off-Broadway) as Carl Bruner. Additional cast members include Ceasar Barajas as Willie Lopez, Aurelia Michael as Clara, Denielle Marie Gray as Louise, Elizabeth Ritacco as Mrs. Santiago, Adrian Baidoo as the Subway Ghost, and Eric Jon Mahlum as the Hospital Ghost.

The show is directed by Stephen Brotebeck, and choreographed by Robin Levine, with Jeff Theiss serving as Musical Director. Ghost The Musical will feature scenic designs by Czerton Lim, lighting design by Dan Ozminkowski, sound design by Kevin Heard, and costume design by Tiffany Howard.

The 2017 season will then round itself out with an inspiring true story, Always...Patsy Cline. Tickets can be purchased by phone at 315-255-1785 or toll free at 1-800-457-8897, and online at FingerLakesMTF.com.
