Aaron Galligan-Stierle to Star in PARADE at Finger Lakes Muscial Theatre Festival; Cast Announced!

The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival (FLMTF) will produce Jason Robert Brown's Tony Award winning musical drama, Parade this summer. The show runs July 5 through July 26 at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Auburn, N.Y.'s Emerson Park.

Parade will be directed and choreographed by FLMTF producing artistic director Brett Smock with Robin Levine as associate director/choreographer. Jeff Theiss will serve as musical director. Parade will feature a scenic design by Czerton Lim, lighting design by Jose Santiago, sound design by Kevin Heard, and costume design by Tiffany Howard.

Smock states, "We are proud to produce this daring, important and compelling musical as part of our dynamic 2017 season." Based on a true story and one of the most famous trials in the history of our country, Parade is at once a gripping drama and a poignant love story. Set to one of the most acclaimed scores in the musical theatre canon, Parade is about compassion, devotion, and forgiveness.

The 31-member cast includes Aaron Galligan-Stierle (Broadway: The Phantom of the Opera, Ragtime, Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas) as Leo Frank and Kristin Wetherington (National Tour: Aida with Nederlander Worldwide) as Lucille Frank. Jamison Stern (Broadway: By Jeeves, Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas; National Tours: Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast) as Hugh Dorsey, Dave Schoonover (National Tours: White Christmas, Young Frankenstein; off-Broadway: The Fantasticks) as Governor Slaton, David Atkinson (La Mirada: Billy Elliot, TUTS: The Best Little Whorehouse...) as Judge Roan/Old Soldier, Scott Guthrie as Britt Craig, Crystal Sha'nae as Minnie/Angela, Fergie L. Philippe as Jim Conley, Marcus Jordan as Newt Lee, Matthew Sheridan as Luther Rosser, Erin Katzker as Mrs. Phagan and Jake Mills as Tom Watson.

The ensemble will feature: Banji Aborisade, Mike Dinneen, Taylor Galvin, Clayton Howe, Abeba Isaac, Jana Kucera, Kyra Leeds, Justine Long, Lindsey Olson, Travis Przybylski, Adrien Swenson, CJ Roche, Alec Michael Ryan, BrenDan Smith, and Alexander Zenoz. The factory girls will be played by local actresses Shannon Beel, Addy Whitener, Emma DeGroff and Maddie VanRiper.

The 2017 season also includes Guys and Dolls (June 7-28), The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (Aug. 2-23), Ghost The Musical (Aug. 30-Sept. 16), and Always...Patsy Cline (Sept. 21-Oct. 7).

This year, the Festival celebrates the sixth anniversary of "The PiTCH" and to date, it has given development opportunity and visibility to 54 new musicals.
