Terri White will be performing on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 8:30 pm at the Irdium Jazz Club. There is a $25 cover charge; food is $10. Those who print out this article will receive $10 off.
Ben Brantley of the New York Times said, "Of particular note among the ensemble is Terri White, whose low, rafter-rattling alto turns the soulful, sassy 'Necessity' into what would register as a show stopper even in Madison Square Garden."
Terri White's Broadway show credits include Barnum (Tony Nomination - Best Supporting Actress in a Musical), Ain't Misbehavin', Bubbling Brown Sugar, and Two Gentlemen of Verona. her off-Broadway credits include The Club (Obie Award Winner), Juba, Nunsense I & II and Jungle Book.
She can be seen on video in Nunsense I & II with Rue McClanahan, Liza Live at Radio City Music Hall with Liza and Boys on the Side with Whoopi Goldberg.
Terri has performed with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops, The Long Island Philharmonic, Atlantic City at Ceasar's Palace, Anything Cole at Carnegie Hall, and as soloist with the Cleveland Ballet "In Studio D". Last year she had the honor of opening for Liza Minnelli at the Luxor in Las Vegas.
She can be heard on "Incurably Romantic," and the cast albums of Barnum, Finian's Rainbow at The Irish Rep, Liza Live! and Forbidden Broadway's 20th Anniversary Edition ("Screamgirls").
Comfortable and consummate in all genres (Broadway, Rythum & Blues, Gospel & Jazz) Terri's first solo CD, "The Lady's Got To Sing" produced by Old Hat Productions, fused all the incredible facets of this very talented lady into "one knockout punch."For more information: www.iridiumjazzclub.com1650 Broadway (at 51st) Reservations 212-582-2121
