Jamie McGonnigal and Joe's Pub present Come To My Garden: The Music of Lucy Simon. The concert will feature the music of the incredible Broadway composer, Lucy Simon. Lucy, who is taking part in the event, is a two-time Grammy Award Winner who brought us one of the best-loved musicals of all time, The Secret Garden.

The concert will take place at Joe's Pub on Sunday, June 14th at 9:30pm

The concert, directed by McGonnigal with music direction from Billy Elliot's David Chase, will feature performances from some of Broadway's finest, including Tony Award Winner Laura Benanti (Gypsy), Rescue Me's Steven Pasquale and Story of My Life's Will Chase (all of whom starred in the 2005 World AIDS Day Concert of The Secret Garden). Joining them will be several other Broadway luminaries, including three-time Tony Nominee, Marin Mazzie, Jason Danieley (Curtains, Full Monty), and a rare East Coast performance from one of Broadway's youngest Tony Award Winners (for The Secret Garden), Daisy Eagan.

Lucy Simon began her professional career at the age of sixteen as a duo with sister Carly. Lucy made her Broadway debut as the composer of The Secret Garden, for which she was nominated for a 1991 Tony Award for Best Original Score and a 1991 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music. She also wrote songs for the off-Broadway show A...My Name is Alice. Simon's setting of Wynken, Blynken, and Nod has been recorded by many diverse artists, including The Doobie Brothers, Mitzie Collins, and The Big Three (Cass Elliot, Tim Rose, and James Hendricks). In 2006, she composed the music for a musical theatre setting of the Russian novel Dr. Zhivago, and has also penned the music for a musical re-telling of Wuthering Heights along with Secret Garden collaborator, Marsha Norman. She has won a Grammy award in 1981 together with her husband, David Levine, in the Best Recording for Children category for "In Harmony/A Sesame Street Record", and again in 1983 in the same category for "In Harmony 2".
