SCOTT ALAN & FRIENDS, January 19 at 7PM:

SIMPLY SCOTT ALAN - An intimate concert with composer Scott Alan and today's brightest stars. Acclaimed songwriter Scott Alan will make his concert debut at 54 Below in an evening of songs featured from his five successful albums including Dreaming Wide Awake, Keys, What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up, LIVE and Anything Worth Holding on To as well as songs from his musicals, Home & ifi. After sold out concerts around the world, Alan will be returning to the New York City stage after over a year and a half away. With Alan at the piano and some of today's brightest Broadway stars and recording artists, this will be an intimate night of storytelling and supreme vocalists. Alan has written songs for a long list of Broadway and recording stars, including Lea Salonga, Sutton Foster, Samantha Barks, Ramin Karimloo, Jane Monheit, Pentatonix, Marc Broussard, Megan Hilty, Diana DeGarmo, Jonathan Groff, Liz Callaway, Jeremy Jordan, Taylor Dayne, Randy Graff, and many more. His song "It's Good to See You Again" was featured on the season nine premiere of So You Think You Can Dance and was the number one downloaded song on iTunes & Amazon the evening of its debut. His musical HOME with Christy Hall will open in London's West End in September 2015. His musical ifi opened to rave reviews in Tokyo, Japan in September 2014. Scheduled to appear at the 7pm concert are 2014 Tony Award Winners James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin) and Jessie Mueller (Beautiful). LAUREN ELDER, January 19 at 9:30PM:

Lauren Elder, who recently appeared in Side Show on Broadway, brings together a night of music, fun, and friends in her 54 Below solo debut. Backed by her band of misfits and outcasts, she'll be singing songs you know, songs you don't, songs you thought you knew, and songs she wrote. A world class whistler as well, you can be sure she'll be puckering her lips a lot! Special Broadway guests will be announced soon. Lauren is an actress, singer-songwriter and whistler living in New York City. She has been seen on HBO's "Boardwalk Empire" and in the Broadway and West End revivals of Hair, and is currently on Broadway in the musical Side Show. Lauren blends the sweet sounds of the ukulele with influences of folk, jazz and pop to create her unique, whimsical sound, which she then records in her closet, huddled between her vintage dresses. $25-35 cover charge. $60 premium seating. $25 food & beverage minimum.

FRANKIE J. GRANDE, January 20 at 7PM & January 21 at 9:30PM:

Frankie J. Grande fresh out of Rock of Ages on Broadway, after spending a season in the "Big Brother" house! He is a performer, producer, host, YouTube star and social media mogul. Frankie has a rich history in the theater as he has performed in Mamma Mia! on Broadway, produced Hamlet starring Jude Law, and produced and co-directed Brooke Shields' one woman show at Feinstein's. He was honored with the title of "Mr. Broadway" in 2007. CHRISTINE EBERSOLE, January 21, 22, 23 & 24 at 7PM:

54 Below is proud to present the return engagement of two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole following a sold out 2 week run of her new show "Big Noise From Winnetka." Christine's "stirring new show" as described by The New York Times' Stephen Holden, returns for 8 performances, with Musical Director Bette Sussman (Whitney Houston, Cyndi Lauper, Bette Midler) leading Christine's 4 piece band and vocalist Tabitha Fair. The concert features both classic and re-imagined Broadway hits, pop and jazz classics and anecdotes about growing up. Winner of two Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical (42nd Street and Grey Gardens), Christine co-stars on the hit TBS series "Sullivan & Son" (now in its 3rd season). Mitchell Jarvis makes his solo concert debut with a show about a man who believes he is Jacques Brel - not a reincarnation but the man himself. Told entirely in Brel songs with surprising contemporary arrangements and actual Brel quotes woven throughout, it's an examination of Love, Death and Hope. Backed by a four-piece band, Jarvis channels Brel for a new generation - living everywhere. Jarvis originated the role of Lonny in Rock of Ages, and is co-creator and star of the web series, It Could Be Worse. SALLY KELLERMAN, January 23 at 9:30PM:

54 Below is proud to present film and TV star Sally Kellerman in A Little Jazz, a Little Blues, a Little Rock and Roll-an eclectic celebration of her 40-year cabaret career-from her early years at Reno Sweeney in Greenwich Village up to recent performances in Hollywood and San Francisco. Rex Reed, reviewing her previous NY appearance at Feinstein's, noted "she has a lusty, suggestive way with both lyrics and words that defies the passing of time. She hasn't changed a bit since her giddy role as 'Hot Lips' in Robert Altman's MASH made the world drool back in 1970. She is still, to put it bluntly, a goddamn knockout...she sings with so much self-assurance and such a passion for music that she can switch effortlessly in style and tempo from the raucous pop-rock of the Pointer Sisters to the navy-blue-jazz phrasing of Billie Holiday with the snap of a finger. Doing what she loves and loving what she's doing, Sally Kellerman is a blast of West Coast vitamin C." THE SONGS OF F. MICHAEL HAYNIE, January 23 at 11:30PM:

After ten long years, F. Michael Haynie is finally moving his singer/songwriter alter ego out of the Village and LES. So if you missed his unique blend of country-folk-jazz-pop at the Bitter End, Rockwood, the West 4th Street Subway Station, or that time he was on MTV's "Made", this is the concert you never knew you were waiting for: F. Michael Haynie LIVE at 54 Below! A night of all-original music written by F., with guest stars from stage, screen, and Washington Square Park, at Broadway's premier Supper Club. Don't expect to hear the story of F.'s life, or a teary wander down ex-girlfriend lane-just an evening of music and merriment. Presenting the show in concert form, composer/lyricist Georgia Stitt will be joined by Broadway powerhouse performers Kate Baldwin, Derrick Baskin, Ta'Rea Campbell, Jeremy Jordan, Caitlin Kinnunen, Zak Resnick, Elena Shaddow, Jessica Vosk, EJ Zimmerman, and a few more special guests still to be announced. Directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, this score is being presented publicly in New York City for the first time after a successful West End debut last fall at London's Garrick Theatre. Stitt serves as pianist and music director for a band that includes Randy Landau on bass, Simon Kafka on guitar, Shannon Ford on drums, Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf on cello and Victoria Paterson on violin. Cutting-Edge Composers will present their sixth concert at 54 Below! Cutting-Edge Composers is a platform for new musical theatre writers featuring top Broadway performers and musicians. With an exclusive video spotlight on Broadwayworld.com, Cutting-Edge Composers is committed to showcasing songs by writers whose work has not yet been produced on Broadway. Cutting-Edge Composers is presented at no cost to the artists. The concert will be helmed by director-producer Laura Pietropinto (assistant director of Next to Normal) and associate producer Allie Glickman, with Musical Direction by Julie McBride and Benjamin Rauhala.
