BWW Preview: THE NY VARIETY SHOW Launches First Cabaret at Hudson Terrace on 7/8

"The New York Variety Show" will showcase talent from well-known and up-and-coming performing artists as they compete for a prize package valued over $1,000 at Hudson Terrace on July 8th at 8:30 pm. The top three performers will be asked to join the original cast of the New York Variety Show. As the event series continues, winners will collaborate to create production numbers that blend a variety of artistic mediums.

Josh Sharp and Aaron Jackson will host the show, accompanied by a panel of judges comprised of New York entertainment professionals, including showbiz spitfire, Paige Turner; writer, producer and talent coach, Robert Galinksy; standup comedian, Sheba Mason; and burlesque legend, Julie Atlas Muz. Presented by FabKiki Events and Entertainment, the New York Variety Show is spearheaded by Monica Blewinsky and Vincent Cooper at the production helm.

Monica Blewinsky is a drag personality, event producer and owner of FabKiki Events and Entertainment and Dudes in Drag Productions, who has put on a range of shows and large fund raisers throughout the U.S., working with talent such as Joey Arias, Bianca Del Rio, Sherry Vine, Aaron Pfeiffer, Kat Graham, Julie Atlas Muz, and many others. Beneficiaries of Monica's work have included the Research Foundation to Cure AIDS, Heritage of Pride and OutRight International.

Vincent Cooper is an actor and nightlife event producer. His events focus on blurring the line between nightlife and theatre. He currently runs a weekly party at the Ace Hotel, and is assisting with creative direction for various Fire Island events, including the famous Pines Party and the new Pines Fest. In the past, he has hosted events at the Diamond Horseshoe, Liberty Theatre, Providence nightclub, Slake, and the Cutting Room to name a few. Vincent is excited to begin this new venture at Hudson Terrace!

Of more than 50 acts currently under consideration, some of the confirmed acts include drag performer Brita Filter, hula hoop dancer Arielle Dalia, comedian Harris Bloom, actor Philip Galinsky, illusionist Matias Letelier and international yoyo performer Justin Weber.
