According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oprah Winfrey is currently developing a still untitled drama for the HBO cable network from her Harpo Films. Playwright Thomas Bradshaw will write and co-executive produce the project along with Oprah and Harpo's Kate Forte. The family drama is expected to have an hour-long format.

The project will follow "the first black president of a prestigious liberal arts college who has been thrust into the national headlines while also engaging in "agonizing personal battles" and "dark obsessions" away from the public eye."

Harpo Films previously signed a deal with HBO in 2008 to develop miniseries, movies, documentaries and scripted series for the cable network.
