Quick question: Is your mom an ancient, evil witch? Great, we can continue now! Tonight's episode of SUPERNATURAL, entitled "Girls, Girls, Girls," hit us with the bombshell of motherly revelations. Not all people can have mothers who make them nachos and do their laundry.
Dean and Sam had made a pit stop in the middle of the country to enjoy some steaks. Dean, or shall we call him Impala67, had brought Sam along for another reason. The elder Winchesters new dating app had brought him to the random town to meet the beautiful lady he had been chatting with. Unfortunately, this lady didn't just want Dean for his devilish good looks. No, this girl was in business with a literal demon, one that traded souls for sex. The boys helped the prostitute take down her demon pimp only to learn that there was an entire demon run brothel and they were killing girls who didn't obey their rules.
Over on Castiel's end, he and Hannah were recouping at a local motel while they tracked other angels. Hannah tried to flirt with Cas by way of undressing for her shower, but the blushing angel diverted his eyes best he could. They couldn't have any distractions, though the biggest distraction was about to interrupt their journey in the form of Hannah's vessel's husband.
Hannah had to think quickly on her feet. In order to move on with Castiel she had to rid of Caroline's husband. She claimed that her and Cas had fallen in love and had run away with each other. She even went so far as to make out with Castiel to cement her lie.
The Winchesters were not the first to arrive at Raul's brothel. The redheaded witch, seen previously at a hotel torturing someone on her ceiling, was the first to arrive. She quickly took down Raul and his goons and rescued the prostitutes. She took them to a fancy restaurant where she divulged her backstory; she was an ancient witch that had been kicked out of her coven for improper use of magic. She wanted to build a coven of her own, but needed to teach girls the ways of magic in order to begin. The two prostitutes seemed cautious, but interested, at least until the hexed waiter dropped dead onto the floor.
The brothers had finally made it to the brothel, only to find the demons dead and gone. A hex bag was all that remained to clue them in. They did a bit of research and learned that a powerful form of magic, created by the witch Rowena, was the only kind of magic that could make demons regurgitate to death and fry brains.
Crowley was angry with his demon minions for opening a brothel without his knowledge. However, he was interested in getting his hands on the witch that had taken down his men. Elsewhere, Cole had returned and was torturing his first demon for information on Dean.
Hannah's run-in with Caroline's husband had left her devastated. She felt awful for taking Caroline as a vessel; she was a human being with a life and feelings (You hear that, THE ORIGINALS?). She informed Castiel that she couldn't continue on his mission and extracted herself from Caroline's body.
Dean and Sam had tracked down Rowena and the prostitutes. They tussled, but Rowena hexed one of the girls to attack the brothers. Dean cornered Rowena and was about to take her down, but Cole had shown up just in time. It was either drop his weapon and let Rowena escape, or meet the end of Cole's gun.
Dean revealed the truth to Cole. His dad had been a monster that was killing people and eating their livers. He killed him to save Cole and his family. Dean had no idea what kind of monster he was (which I'm sure will come into play later), but his actions were for the greater good. A stunned Cole tried to process all the information. Dean and Sam pleaded with him to return to his family and he listened to the duo.
Castiel returned Caroline to her home to reunite with her husband. All the talk of vessels and humanity reminded him of Jimmy and his family. He did a quick Google search to check up on them.
Rowena may have escaped the Winchester's, but she had been apprehended by the demons. An excited Crowley entered the dungeon she had been chained up in, only to take one look at the Irish woman and exclaim "Mother!?"
Things we need to discuss:
- I can't say that I'm not jealous of Hannah.
- As soon as I saw Crowley's face I thought, "Is this his wife?" but the mom bombshell was so much better.
- I doubt we have seen the end of Cole. Just not another spinoff attempt, please.
