Not many shows can brag about garnering a tenth season, but as SUPERNATURAL heads into the big 1-0, they're stronger than ever. Last season brought heartbreak, crazy mythology, and a season ending twist to keep viewers glued to The CW's wildly popular genre show.

Last season's battle over Hell concluded with Crowley reigning supreme, with the help of Dean Winchester and the all too powerful Mark of Cain. Dean's obsession with the given mark and the First Blade was the nail in the coffin for the elder Winchester.

Not only was a battle ensuing over Hell, but the war over Heaven raged on as Castiel fought to take on Metatron and his plot-altering powers. After fatally wounding Dean, Metatron was overtaken by the angels and locked in their form of prison. Castiel came out victorious with the angels once again by his side, but his stolen grace was revealed to slowly be killing him.

Sam's last hope to save his brother found him calling upon Crowley to make a deal. But it turned out Crowley was one step ahead of Sam, with plans of his own for his so-called "bestie." He lamented that the Mark of Cain had taken over Dean completely and the hunter could awake, but actually as the thing he had devoted his entire life to hunting. Season Nine cut out as a Dean opened his newly turned black, demonic eyes.

With all the crazy shenanigans to transpire last season, it's hard to predict what's to come when Season Ten premieres on October 7. Sam's unknowing angel-possession left the Winchesters in an awkward place. Furthermore, Dean's acceptance of the Mark of Cain and the First Blade put the brothers at opposite ends of how the deadly mark should be handled. But in spite of all their differences, the brothers continued to prove that blood really is thicker than water. Unfortunately, Dean's resurrection as a demon is sure to reboot the heated animosity.

The Winchesters have continually saved each other, even when they flat out declared they didn't want saving to begin with. Will Sam's discovery of Dean's demon soul fuel a rescue of love or anger? Either way, Sam's mission to save his brother will be long and tedious - if only for a few episodes - as he is sure to do anything and everything to de-demonize his brother.

Check out the two SUPERNATURAL videos below. The first is a bootleg of the sneak peek shown at this summer's San Diego ComicCon, introducing us even further into demon Dean; and it doesn't seem like he has any resemblance to the Dean Winchester we all know and love. No emotion, chasing Sam with an axe, and what did he say about knowing what Sam did to find him? Hmmm.

The second video is an official look back at the entire season leading up to this 10th season.

And what about everyone's favorite angel-turned-human-turned-angel, Castiel? Will he be able to regain his own grace, or will he forgo all semblance of his spiritual life and return to the mortal coil? Some of the show's best episodes last season were filled with scenes of Castiel trying so hard to adapt to life as a human: having intercourse for the first time, eating food, getting a job, and doing laundry. And let's not forget Castiel's awkward try at being a hunter along with Sam and Dean. I'm hoping for more fine moments from this fallen angel.

As well as brotherly turmoil, we're sure to be introduced to many new faces as the amount of monsters in the "supernatural" world continues to grow. With a failed spin-off under its belt, will the characters of SUPERNATURAL: BLOODLINES spill over into the main universe?

We've also been promised that the anticipated 200th episode will be one with a musical flare. Many shows don't verge on the BUFFY territory of musical episodes, but SUPERNATURAL has already pushed the boundaries on ridiculous. A musical episode is no surprise for a show with so many episodes, especially ones that break the fourth wall.

The long and windy Winchester journey is sure to continue well into the new season and it's sure to be crazy, funny, and hopefully even a little scary. I will be here all year recapping the show for BWW TV, so join me each week, and always let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
