DAVID ALAN GRIER

I am an actor, writer, comic, father, and gentleman of Leisure. I have been in the life for YEARS!!! Most people know me from the Fox series "In Living Color" and my Comedy Central show "Chocolate News". I've done a bunch of films. To name a few... Boomerang, Jumanji, Soldiers Story, Streamers, more recently The Woodsman, Badasss, and the yet to be released "We The Peeples". I started in the theatre...Just like Captain Kangaroo! I received my BA from The University of Michigan, and my MFA from to the Yale School of Drama, along with an honorary Doctorate from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. I was nominated for two Tony awards for the Broadway musical "The First", and David Mamet's play "Race". I received the "Golden Lion" award for best actor at the Venice Film festival for the film "Streamers" directed by Robert Altman. I love doing live appearances around the country. I get to meet my audience up front and personal, and we kick live! I am currently working on "Porgy & Bess" slated to open on Broadway January 12, 2012.
