Jim Witter Returns to the State Theatre with 'The Piano Men' Image

Whether it be his country music, contemporary Christian, or the music of Billy Joel and Elton John, Jim Witter's versatility as an artist has allowed him the opportunity to reach out and share his music and his infectious personality with audiences of all ages across Canada and the United States. The Juno Award nominee returns to the State Theatre with "The Piano Men" on Friday, October 26.

Show time is 7:30 PM. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased by visiting the State Theatre Box Office, 453 Northampton Street, Easton, by calling 1-800-999-STATE, 610.252.3132 or online at www.statetheatre.org. Sponsored by Air Products, 99.9 The Hawk and lehighvalleylive.com + The Express-Times.

Witter's music and songwriting have been recognized on both sides of the border, earning him multiple awards and nominations from the Canadian Country Music Association, the Juno Awards, and even the Dove Awards in Nashville, where Jim's album "Forgiveness" was nominated for Inspirational Album of the year. His unique approach and comfortable rapport makes each member of his audience feel as though they are a part of a private concert in the comfort of their own living room. This, along with his rich, powerful voice and ease of manner at the piano, make him a favorite with theatre goers everywhere.

Utilizing spectacular visuals on a giant screen behind Witter and his band, "The Piano Men" returns to the newspaper headlines, the automobiles, the people, the events, the toys and even the TV shows that shaped a decade. Along the way, the sounds of "My Life", "Candle in the Wind", "Rocket Man", "Just the Way You Are", and many more classic hits create an evening that's so much fun, you won't want it to end. Throughout the show Witter unleashes his golden tenor on hit after hit to recreate fully-formed mental and emotional return visits to specific landmarks in a pop culture timeline.

Jim Witter has performed numerous shows at the State Theatre. Aside from The Piano Men, Witter has brought his hit shows "Feelin' Groovy" (A Musical Journey Through the 60's Featuring the Music of Simon & Garfunkel) and "Jim Witter's Coffee House" (Celebrating the Folk Favorites of the 60's and 70's) to the historic venue. Jim was also hand-picked to perform a specially-created show for the State Theatre's 90th Anniversary Gala in 2017.

Tickets from the previously scheduled show on June 16th will be honored for this performance.
