Live On Stage in NWA, is a 501 (C) (3) organization. All donations are tax deductible. The mission of Live On Stage in NWA is to provide and promote professional performances at an affordable price and to develop and showcase student talent through scholarships and live performances. The LOS organization is 100% volunteer, composed of members of the community who love live performances, and are passionate about the mission. Our goal is to fund and expand performing arts awareness to residents of Northwest Arkansas and surrounding areas. Through an "Outreach" program, we bring local high school student performers to our Arend Arts Center audience through a program called, "Students On Stage". These talented students perform prior to the main musical performances. We continue to offer scholarships to worthy graduates who wish to pursue the study of the music arts in college. Students On Stage are usually from Benton County High School and/or colleges. At the last concert of the 2011-2012 series five worthy students were each awarded $1,000 scholarships. Some of the scholarships were underwritten through the generosity of AARP Chapter 109, Delta Trust and Savings Bank and Dr. and Mrs. James McKenzie.
