Famous for her eclectic style and inventive repertoire, Ani Franco will appear at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJ PAC) on Wednesday, April 23rd at 8:00 pm in the Victoria Theater for one show only. Metropolitan area audiences will enjoy the opportunity to experience her incredible repertoire.
DiFranco is a native of Buffalo New York. She currently makes her home in New Orleans and travels with her band to perform for audiences worldwide. DiFranco has garnered countless awards including the Grammy Award,The Woman of Courage Award and the Woody Guthrie Award.
DiFranco melds soul, funk, jazz and the spoken work into her music. A multi-talented songwriter and collaborator, she uses her voice and guitar honestly to play songs that come from her imagination and wit. She has produced more than 20 albums to date and continues to grow and evolve in her art.
She has stated that she has a "lifelong tribe of co-conspirators" in the music industry that includes Bruce Springsteen, Prince, Cindi Lauper and Pete Seger.
