On November 7 at 6:00pm, Volt Restaurant, located in the heart of Frederick's nationally renowned historic district, will host a private wine tasting with proceeds from the event benefiting the non-profit, Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET).

Co-owned by Hilda Staples, a MET Board Member, and Executive Chef Bryan Voltaggio, who will be familiar to many from his appearances on Top Chef and Top Chef Masters, Volt is quartered within a spectacular 19th century brownstone mansion.

The mansion includes a picturesque courtyard, where attendees will be able to make the most of Frederick's beautiful autumn weather while keeping warm toasting gourmet s'mores on a roaring fire pit under the stars. Volt's Sommelier, TJ Whitman, will be taking guests on an oenological tour of Washington State, profiling some of the best vineyards of that region.

Those in attendance will also have an exclusive opportunity to purchase the wines sampled at below retail prices. Tickets to the event are $100 and are available for purchase at marylandensemble.org or by calling 301-694-4744.

In conjunction with the wine tasting on November 7 MET is also selling tickets for a chance to win dinner for two at Volt's exclusive Table 21. The chef's table features a remarkable 21 course tasting menu. Tickets for the chance to win this extraordinary gastronomical experience are just $10 or 3 for $20 and can be purchased at marylandensemble.org or by calling 301-694-4744. The winner will be selected at the wine tasting on November 7 but you do not need to be present to win. Table 21 for 2 excludes alcoholic beverages, tax and tip. Advance reservations are required.

The Maryland Ensemble Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit professionally operated and artistically accredited arts organization that has enriched and entertained more than half a million people since 1993. Every year the MET produces thought-provoking theatre, fun family entertainment, theatre camps and classes, artist residency programs for public schools, and dozens of special events.
