Poised to celebrate its 30th Anniversary in 2014, The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel invites guests to experience the surprise and delight of the season as the resort is transformed into a holiday wonderland with sparkling lights, sweet treats and special events. In celebration, the resort is collecting canned goods, non-perishable food items, toys, books and stuffed animals to be donated to local Orange County charities including the Orange County Rescue Mission and Miracles for Kids.

Seasonal Experiences and Activities
The local community is invited to the 29th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting on Sunday, November 24 at 4 p.m. The celebration includes a festive live musical performance and, of course, a visit from Santa Claus. It might even snow.
Throughout the season, guests can also enjoy the spectacular gingerbread display created by Executive Pastry Chef Brian Sundeen and his talented pastry team. More than 400 hours will go in to creating the amazing gingerbread display that will showcase all of the Community Footprints partners the resort supports throughout the year. The display is created using fresh-baked gingerbread and a dazzling array of candy, sweets and pastries.
Guests can enjoy a relaxing afternoon with Holiday Tea. With breathtaking ocean views, Tea is served in Raya and is offered Monday through Thursday; November 18 through December 19. Seating is available at 2, 2:15, 2:30 and 2:45 p.m. Holiday Tea is $55 per person.
Children will delight in Holiday Story Telling, offered Friday and Saturday, December 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21. 5 to 6 p.m. A special visit from Santa is a highlight.
The resort's furry friends can celebrate at the Yappy Howl-iday Celebration on Saturday, December 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This gathering of canines and their companions provides Fido with the opportunity to be photographed with the "Big Dog" himself - Santa Claus. Guests are asked to bring unopened canned or dry dog food, treats or dog toys to be donated to Friends of Orange County's Homeless Pets.
