Back by popular demand BestWings Long Island brings another Wings and Beer Adventure to Nassau County. Summer Wings and BeerFest will take place on Saturday, July 12 from 2 pm to 7:30 pm at Cannon's Blackthorn in Rockville Centre, NY conveniently located next to the LIRR at 49 N. Village Ave. For just thirty-five ($35) dollars patrons will receive a total of sixteen wings and forty-two ounces of craft beer divided between eight Long Island restaurants and four local breweries. Summer Wings and BeerFest is the ultimate combination of great Long Island wings and breweries. It will feature eight restaurants and four breweries battling it out for the Summer Wings and Beer Cup. The award will go to the restaurant with the best wings and the brewery with the best beer. CEO of High River Sauces and "ChilieHead", Steve Seabury, will be on the judges panel along with BestWings Long Island. Steve will also be showcasing his line of artisanal hot sauces. Celebrity chef, Johnny McLaughlin, from Food Network's "Chopped" and the mind behind Heartbreaking Dawns Hot Sauce, will be making wings and competing in this year's event. Other restaurants include, Cannon's Blackthorn of Rockville Centre, returning champion, The Wander Inn of Baldwin, Prost Grill and Garten of Garden City, Rudi's Bar & Grill of Patchogue, The Dark Horse Tavern and Press 195 of Rockville Centre and Wing Zone of Bellmore.
Breweries pouring two kinds of their best brew include, Long Ireland Beer Company of Riverhead, Barrage Brewing Company of Farmingdale, Hollbrook's Spider Bite Beer Company and Port Jeff Brewing Company of Port Jefferson. Long Island's premiere homebrew supply shop, Homebrews and Handgrenades of Baldwin, will be there pouring some selections of their crafted beer, as well as up and coming team of brewers, The Brewer's Collective. New arrival from Bay Shore, Outer Lands Brewing Company, will be giving patrons a taste of their crafted brew.
Best Wings LI has taken two of Long Island's most popular followings, and brought them together in an awesome, creative foodie adventure to promote local businesses, drive the community and develop more awareness nationally of the rapidly booming wing and beer scene here on the Island. In addition to the wings and beer, this highly anticipated festival will also feature an exciting, "one million scoville hot wing eating competition", and giveaways including t-shirts, gift certifications and more from participating vendors.Videos
