The Loire Valley, France's iconic wine region, is back in the U.S. for its annual tasting, Spring To Loire. Travelling East to West with stops in New York City, Chicago, and for the first time, San Francisco, these unique tasting events offer trade professionals the opportunity to explore the diversity of a region loved by American consumers. Loire Valley Wines are indeed set to continue making a splash in America: not only is the U.S. its first export market, but it is also constantly expanding, with growth in value and volume reaching respectively 9% and 8% in 2016.

Over the years, Spring To Loire has become an unmissable event in the wine industry. With over 350 high-quality wines presented during the walk-around tastings and a series of seminars led by experts on the region, the 2017 edition promises to live up to its reputation. From whites, ross and reds, to still and sparkling wine, the authenticity of the Loire Valley's terroir and the flavors and diversity of its wines will explored and decoded. The events will gather the region's leaders, including producers, importers, distributors, and sommeliers that make Loire Valley Wines live and flourish in the United States.

About Loire Valley Wines

The Loire Valley, referred to as the Garden of France, is known for its magnificent chateaux, rich history and runs at the heart of France with 5 distinct wine regions - Pays Nantais, Anjou, Saumur, Touraine, Centre-Loire each with its own characteristics of grapes, appellations and styles. The wine-growing regions dotting the Loire's banks feature no less than 4,000 wineries, 170,000 acres of vineyards and 61 appellations of origin, thus making the Loire Valley the third largest French wine making region. Producing 380 million bottles per year be they red, ros or white; still or sparkling; dry or semi-dry, supple or sweet the Loire Valley is France's leading producer of white wines and ranks second for ross. The region as a whole exports 68 million bottles every year to 157 export markets.
