The world of Scotch and Whiskey is far and wide - stretching from Kentucky, USA to the rolling Highlands of Speyside - making it difficult for the everyday person to know where to start their tasting experience. Seattle Scotch & Beer Fest bypasses the need to take planes, trains, and automobiles, bringing together 12 of the best international spirits and the experts that know them best for two days of tasting.

Seattle Scotch & Beer Fest returns April 19-20 as a fundraiser for Seattle Humane, combining old world spirits with new world craft beers, all under one roof indoors at Fremont Studios. Guests will choose from two different tasting flights, each offering them the opportunity to detect the subtle nuances and different expressions of these vintage malt beverages as they taste them side-by-side.

Assisting guests in their discovery will be whiskey experts and ambassadors flown in from around the globe. Leading this group of experts is Rick Edwards, one of only a handful of certified Masters of Scotch in the world. Edwards is knowledgeable in Scotch and Whiskey, being named an Icon of Whisky recently by industry publications, and often facilitates celebrity whiskey tastings in Hollywood.

"I'm so excited to explore the amazing world of whisky with guests in Seattle this April," says Edwards. "This event is a great opportunity for both novice and seasoned Scotch drinkers to expand their knowledge in a fun environment. Anyone attending this year's Scotch & Beer Fest is in for a treat as the lineup of spirits is incredible."

In addition to helping guests understand the different libations in Seattle Scotch & Beer Fest's spirit flights, Edwards is leading two Top Shelf Seminars during the event. The Top Shelf Seminars are limited capacity and feature a lineup of 10 different spirits curated by Edwards for a deeper understanding of the world of Scotch and Whiskey.
