Sartori Company is using this holiday season as an opportunity to treat one fan to the chance of a lifetime having his or her face carved into a 20-pound wheel of Sartori's Merlot BellaVitano . The winner can have a self-portrait made or, in the spirit of giving, opt to nominate another cheese-lover to have his or her portrait carved (for what would arguably be the ultimate, one-of-a-kind holiday gift).
"Personally, I couldn't think of a better gift to give," said Sarah Kaufmann, a professional cheese sculptor. Kaufmann, who is known as "the Cheese Lady," currently holds the Guinness World Record for the largest cheese sculpture. She will spend more than a dozen hours hand carving the wheel of Merlot BellaVitano into the winner's desired portrait.
Entering the contest is easy: just follow Sartori cheese on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and "Like" any Sartori post containing the hashtag #givecheese between December 1-12. Each "Like" acts as an entry into the contest. At noon on December 12, Sartori will randomly pick one participant to win the most memorable holiday gift.
