SKUlocal and Mambo Sprouts to provide savings on natural, organic products for health-conscious consumers

The recent dramatic rise in natural and organic product sales is grabbing the attention of manufacturers, retailers and savvy marketers. Mambo Sprouts and SKUlocal have teamed up to produce and distribute the first-of-its-kind omnichannel education and savings program focused entirely on natural and organic products.

Called Direct Connect, the program debuts this month and will reach more than 2 million targeted shoppers across a variety of touchpoints including direct mail, email and a network of custom social influencers. The direct mail portion will target homes behaviorally within five miles of Whole Foods stores in California and in select areas in the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions.

Retail sales of natural and organic products in the U.S. jumped 6.5% in 2017 to $207 billion. Sales are expected to top $250 billion in 2020. With more consumers looking for healthier lifestyle options, Mambo Sprouts and SKUlocal saw an opportunity to offer this growing audience ways to live healthier and save money on natural and organic products.

Suja, Wallaby, Bob's Red Mill, Voss, Enjoy Life, Shea Moisture and Ancient Nutrition are a few of the brands featured in the program's kick-off. More than a dozen national brands focused on natural and organic products are participating in the omnichannel plan, which provides for in-store and online accessibility. Homes receiving the envelope were selected based on demographic and behavioral data to identify shoppers most likely to purchase healthy options.
