About Emmolo Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley
Light and soft-bodied, the 2013 vintage offers a firm acidity balanced with a stark, steely flavor. Aromas are fresh and clean, evoking the scent of early morning after a first rain, with a hint of honeysuckle and underlying notes of tangerine and wet stone. The wine enters the palate with a crisp yet soft quality, flowing into flavors of flower blossom and ending with a mouthwatering finish of fresh-squeezed grapefruit. A long-lasting, zesty minerality leaves the sensation of both subtlety and brightness. Winemaker: Jenny Wagner
About Mer Soleil Reserve Chardonnay, Santa Lucia Highlands
Golden and sun-kissed, the 2013 vintage opens up with evocative scents of lemon and peach, layered with the subtle toasted notes of freshly baked bread. The palate is full and fresh, with ripe flavors of fruit blossoms and a hint of mango balanced by natural, vibrant acidity. Medium to full-bodied, the wine has a finish that is lengthy but never heavy, its mix of oak, butter
And fruit characteristics blending seamlessly and leaving a harmonious, lingering impression. Winemaker: Charlie Wagner II
About Belle Glos Pinot Noir, Dairyman Vineyard, Russian River Valley
The color is a vibrant ruby red. Aromas of ripe cherry, fleshy black plum and dried rose petal are beautifully intermingled with subtle notes of smoke, thyme and anise. The palate opens with a delightful berries and cream character; bright raspberry, cranberry and cherry are nicely balanced by vanilla cream and a rich, rounded mouth-feel. It offers the perfect balance of sweet and savory with fig jam and candied blackberry notes, complemented by cedar, cocoa powder and dark spices. The overall impression is one of balanced structure, bright acidity and silky tannins with a long, lingering finish. Winemaker: Joseph Wagner
About Caymus Vineyards, Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
A rich, dense ruby color, hints at the dark fruit nose of blackberry and currant that carries through to the palate, interwoven with complex aromas of black licorice, anise and creme de cassis. On the palate, the wine opens up to reveal an earthiness, with brown spice, cigar box and ripe dark fruits that linger throughout the extracted and long finish. The texture is opulent and rich, yet has a velvety quality with supple density. Rich, finegrained tannins are balanced with ripe fruit, acidity and oak. Winemaker: Chuck Wagner
About Mer Soleil LATE, Santa Lucia Highlands
Deep gold in color. Sweet and spicy aromas with rich, ripe, opulent layers of nectarine, apricot nectar and citrus notes. On the palate it is like liquid honey with apricot, fig, marmalade and warm butterscotch, making this dessert wine a stunner. Impressive for its purity, velvety, lush texture and persistence, with just enough acidity to keep this from being cloying. Winemaker: Charlie Wagner II
