Red Robin Unveils The Big Sky Burger Inspired by the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival Winner

The sky's the limit at Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. (Red Robin) this holiday season. Available now through Jan. 4, guests can enjoy the newest addition to Red Robin's Finest premium burger line, The Big Sky, inspired by Chef Brad Halsten, Red Robin's Best of the Bash Contest Grand Prize Winner at the 2014 Food Network and Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE. The Big Sky Burger features a half-pound Black Angus beef patty with blackened seasoning, topped with crispy bacon, an onion ring drizzled in Sriracha, creamy goat cheese crumbles, arugula and roasted garlic aioli served on a toasted ciabatta bun.

"For Red Robin's Best of the Bash Award entry, I wanted to kick things up a notch and use unique ingredients, like pairing Sriracha with a blackened patty," said Chef Brad Halsten. "I'm excited that Red Robin's version of my winning burger will be served at more than 500 locations across the country."

Chef Halsten, owner of The Burger Dive in Billings, Mont., also known as Big Sky country, wowed the judges at this year's Best of the Bash contest. Halsten's creation beat out nine other elite burgers made by esteemed chefs from around the country. The Big Sky will be Red Robin's fifth Finest burger, joining a lineup including the Smoke & Pepper Burger, The D.G.B. , Black & Bleu Burger and Southern Charm Burger .

"This holiday season we're thrilled to give our guests the gift of YUMMM with our new Finest burger, The Big Sky," said Denny Marie Post, Red Robin's senior vice president and chief marketing officer. "We love working with chefs to create innovative burgers and know The Big Sky will be a welcome limited time addition to our expanding Finest premium burger line."

Red Robin is also spreading the holiday cheer with indulgent desserts and delicious drinks that may sound naughty, but sure taste nice! Guests of all ages can enjoy the newest addition to our dessert line up, Doh! Rings , which are a towering treat featuring a hybrid of a warm, flaky croissant and a hot, sweet donut, sprinkled with sugar and served with hot fudge and berry dipping sauces. For 21-and-over guests in need of some "me" time, Red Robin has extended its adult-only shake offerings with the new Divalicious Red Wine Shake*, a delectable combination of Little Black Dress Divalicious Red wine, Pinnacle Whipped vodka, raspberry puree and creamy vanilla soft serve. Plus, each shake comes with a free wine charm while supplies last.

Additional NEW flavorful holiday menu items available through Jan. 4 include:

  • The Holiday Turkey Burger Guests can gobble 'til they wobble with this delicious turkey burger topped with sweet potato fries, crispy bacon, green leaf lettuce, mayo and apple-cranberry relish on a whole grain toasted bun.
  • Garlic Herbed Fries Guests can now get Red Robin's famous Bottomless Steak Fries tossed in parmesan cheese and garlic-herb seasoning with this new addition.
