Winter is coming! Philip Marie will light a "wild" fire to keep you warm in the blustery season. John P. Greco, the incredibly creative chef/co-owner, wants to give this cold and "boarish" season a more bold and lively taste. He is establishing a "wild game" theme at his restaurant from December - February.
Greco has created several signature dishes with his elaborate selection, from buffalo, elk and rabbit to venison and wild boar. You can even savor a bite of rattlesnake ragout! In keeping with the restaurant's much-embraced tradition of "farm fresh to table," Philip Marie will offer a diverse selection of winter root vegetables and gourds from turnips and parsnips to butternut squash.
In addition to the prevailing wild game theme, the restaurant continues its popular "Pig in the Box" Wednesdays: diners are served mouthwatering slices of a slow-roasted in a specially-constructed Chinese box, stout-marinated suckling pig as part of a three course meal at $32.95/per person. Sundays are the popular BBQ night while Tuesdays offer a "Clambake". This is the time of year to consider Philip Marie located in the heart of Greenwich Village for your holiday party. The venue offers two delightful private rooms: the Wine Room housed in the entrance of a former "speakeasy" is crafted for two people, ideal for anniversaries or proposals. The Tasting Room with its exposed cedar beams and brick fireplaces is housed in what remains of a turn-of-the-century farmhouse/kitchen seating 20 people comfortably.Videos
