Newman's Own, the company that donates 100 percent of its profits to charity, today revealed the top five finalists in its first-ever "Greens for Good" Recipe Contest, empowering salad lovers to share their recipe/dressing pairing along with a charity that's close to their hearts. The winning salad aficionado will direct $35,000 to their chosen charity and America gets to help decide whose greens will get the goods!
The top five salad aficionados, narrowed from a pool of hundreds of entrants, created recipes filled with unique flavors and an abundance of affection inspired by their favorite non-profits that align with Newman's Own four areas of giving: Encouraging Philanthropy, Empowerment, Children with Life Limiting Conditions, and Nutrition.
"The Greens for Good Recipe Contest shows that pursuing the common good is not only a cornerstone of Newman's Own, but it is also hugely important to our fans," said David Best at Newman's Own, Inc. "We are thrilled to be able to make a donation to one special charity and to help better the world we live in. Since 1982, more than $400 million has been donated to thousands of charities, and we're excited to see that number grow."
