FIKA (www.fikanyc.com), Manhattan's fastest growing lifestyle coffee, chocolate and restaurant chain makes a big impression at the International Chocolate Awards held in London by winning both the gold and silver medals for "FIKA" branded chocolates.
The International Chocolate Awards is an independent competition that recognizes excellence in fine chocolates from around the world. The awards are designed to reflect international tastes. The judging panel includes chocolate experts, food journalists and pastry chefs, with an international Grand Jury present at each judging round.
New York based luxury coffee, chocolate and restaurant chain FIKA, which brings a Swedish heritage and high-end sweets and savory foods, won the awards in two categories: The Gold medal was awarded to FIKA's unique hazelnut and quinoa praline - deemed best in the world; and the Silver medal was awarded to FIKA's bestselling goat cheese truffle.
"FIKA believes in the power of product quality inspired by creativity. We are pleased that the international community has recognized FIKA as a top global premium brand for chocolates." Says FIKA's world class chocolatier Hakan Martensson, based in New York City.
FIKA's Chief Chocolatier Hakan Martensson won the 2008 championship of the international chocolate competition in Sweden.
