McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants Recognize U.S. Military Veterans And Gold Star Families With Free Entr'e

McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants will thank U.S. military veterans and Gold Star family members by offering them a complimentary lunch or dinner on Sunday, November 5.

"For 18 years, our McCormick & Schmick's restaurants have served our nation's heroes a well-deserved meal in recognition of Veteran's Day," said Tilman Fertitta, chairman and CEO of Landry's, Inc. "These brave veterans and their families have sacrificed so much for this country that it is an honor to serve them in our restaurants with VIP treatment."

On November 5, veterans and Gold Star family members can choose a single complimentary lunch or dinner entre, including options such as Salmon Rigatoni, Buttermilk Fried Shrimp, Cedar Planked or Grilled Salmon, Blackened Chicken Fettuccine, Parmesan Crusted Chicken, Beer Battered Fish & Chips, Parmesan Crusted Flounder, Tender Beef Medallions, Romano Chicken ChoppEd Salad and a McCormick's Cheeseburger.

Since 1999, McCormick & Schmick's has recognized military veterans with this special event every year. The program has been praised by former President George W. Bush and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as a number of state veterans departments and the National Restaurant Association.

The term 'Gold Star' describes family members who have lost a loved one in military service. The Gold Star first made an appearance during World War I after being placed over a service flag's blue star when a service member was killed in combat. The Gold Star signified the family's pride in the loved one's sacrifice rather than the mourning of their personal loss.
