There's so much more to SeaWorld San Diego than you can ever imagine. Whether you visit the park with your family, gather a group of friends, or enjoy it as a date (like we did), there's something to please people of all ages who want to learn more about our environment and have a great time doing so. We like that the SeaWorld experience has the ideal blend of nature and adventure along with lots of eateries to suit everyone's tastes. With all there is to do and see, you can spend a full day in the park and still come back for more. We highly suggest it to our readers whenever they are in the Southern California area.
SeaWorld has a mission to increase public awareness of conservation through all of their programs. They make every effort to engage their guests to be good environmental stewards. The state of the art displays are both captivating and educational. They certainly increase your appreciation of the beautiful creatures that share our planet. Guests get a close up view of fascinating animals at Shark Encounter, Wild Arctic, Turtle Reef, Penguin Encounter, and other exhibits.
Be sure to schedule an exciting show into your day. Amazing live animal presentations include Dolphin Days, Orca Encounter, Pets Rule!, and Sea Lions LIVE. We were lucky enough to catch an afternoon performance of Dolphin Days. The stadium was full of people, who like us, enjoyed every minute of the dolphins' athleticism and antics as well as their presentation by the charming SeaWorld trainers.
For people who enjoy thrill rides, you will not be disappointed. SeaWorld San Diego is the home of the Electric Eel, the city's tallest and fastest coaster. The park also features a soaring ride, Manta along with splashy adventure ones like Shipwreck Rapids and Journey to Atlantis. Kids will have a great time on rides like Elmo's Flying Fish, Sea Dragon Drop, Tentacle Swirl, and the Aqua Scout.
Did we mention dining and food concessions? You don't have to leave the park with so many great choices. We like that there are grab and go spots for families on the move like Seaside Coffee and Bakery or Fusion Smoothies and Wraps. Relax for a while Pineapple Pete's Island Eats or Mama Stella's Pizza Kitchen. You can even choose to have breakfast or dine with the Killer Whales on the poolside patio. And indulge in a satisfying meal at Shipwreck Reef Café with its outdoor dining area and lush landscaping. The Café has a diverse menu of items, including fresh salads, salmon, and burgers.
With winter and spring travel planning, it's never been a better time to visit SeaWorld SanDiego. When you're in Orlando, Florida, or San Antonio, Texas, there are SeaWorld locations for more fun and adventure. To learn more about SeaWorld, please visit: https://seaworld.com/.
