"Sugarpova Chocolate" is the brainchild of Maria Sharpova, the renowned international tennis player. She is a lover of "all things sweet" and has travelled the world looking for the perfect chocolate. Sharpova selected the expert European Chocolatiers at Baron to create SUGARPOVA Premium Chocolate. They curate cocoa beans of the highest quality and turn them into a delightful melt-in-your-mouth confection.
As a food writer and avid cook, I recently accepted the challenge to use SUGARPOVA Premium Chocolate in an original recipe. I enjoyed tasting the selections that included Dark Chocolate, Dark Chocolate with Toasted Coconut, Milk Chocolate, and Milk Chocolate with Strawberry. I decided to use the creamy milk chocolate to accent one of my favorite cheeses, goat cheese. Add some chopped cranberries, and you will thrill your guests by creating a special addition to your appetizer plate. The easy instructions are below:
Ingredients:
10 to 12 ounce goat cheese log well chilled
1 3.5 ounce bar of SUGARPOVA Milk Chocolate
½ cup of coarsely chopped dried cranberries
Procedure:
Break away 2 squares of the SUGARPOVA Milk Chocolate bar for a finishing garnish, then finely shave the rest of the chocolate bar with a cheese grater. Cut the goat cheese log lengthwise and place a thin line of shaved chocolate down the center of one side then press the log back into its original shape. This will create a nice chocolate filled center. Do this while the log is well chilled so it maintains its shape. On a baking sheet or wax paper, combine the remainder of the shaved chocolate with the coarsely chopped dried cranberries. Roll your goat cheese log in the mixture and place on a serving plate. Use the two squares as an attractive base for the log. Serve with crackers or crostini and enjoy!
