PORTSMOUTH, N.H., Oct. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/  Margaritas Mexican Restaurant is bringing back the legendary Taco Gigante just in time to celebrate this month's National Taco Day. The 24-unit restaurant group, known for its delicious authentic flavors, colorful decor and sense of humor, is giving guests the entire month of October to enjoy the mammoth taco with a special bash on Friday, Oct. 4 to celebrate National Taco Day.

The two-pound goliath is hand-crafted, made-to-order and presented in distinctive tongue-and-cheek Margaritas style. The Taco Gigante is made with a crispy 12-inch tortilla shell and comes stuffed with lettuce, refried beans, Mexican rice, seasoned chicken, taco beef, pork carnitas, bacon, salsa fresca, cheese and queso sauce. Topped with crema, pickled jalapenos, picante sauce and hacienda sauce, the $9.99 gargantuan is worthy of its title.

"We were so happy with the response to our National Taco Day promotion last year and wanted to make everything bigger and better this year by offering the Taco Gigante for an entire month," said company President Hugo Marin.

Margaritas will be partnering with Sam Adams for giveaways during its National Taco Day and Taco Gigante celebration on Oct. 4. Playing off the "gigante" theme, Margaritas will be handing out prizes and giveaways such as sunglasses, t-shirts, mustaches and more.

Margaritas is also encouraging fans to share their thoughts via Instagram by posting photos with #MargsGigante. For more information on Margaritas Mexican Restaurant, visit www.margs.com.
