Out of more than 2,000 submissions from 40 countries worldwide, Lisa Gorham Creative's illustration of composer George Friderik Handel was awarded a Gold Muse in the 2018 International Muse Creative Awards competition. The illustration was done for Catoctin Breeze Vineyard, located in Thurmont, Maryland, for their Oratorio Barbera wine, as part of their composer wine series.
The Muse Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals who inspire through concept, writing, or design, whether through traditional or electronic media. "We recognize the breakthrough achievement of designers, marketers, artists, writers, photographers, videographers, and digital experts who set the trends of the global creative industry," said Kenjo Ong, President forthe International Awards Associates (IAA).
This year's grand jury panel included 46 renowned, experienced judges hailing from leading companies in the creative and digital industry from 20 countries worldwide. Entries from 325 categories were rated according to rigorous standards. Panelists evaluated the most innovative and creative concepts, the most effective campaigns, and the most inspired messaging.
Over the years Lisa Gorham has worked closely with Catoctin Breeze Vineyard's owner, Voytek Fizyta, developing their wine label designs and illustrations. "We at Catoctin Breeze Vineyard consider the wine label a message board for our wines. It is the visual contact our customer makes with our wines that needs to be both esthetically appealing and intriguing, reassuring that the wine quality is equally superior. Integrating the esthetic aspect of the presentation with a positive sensory experience, leaves a lasting impression of justified satisfaction," said Fizyta.
On June 8, Lisa Gorham's illustration was also awarded a coveted National Silver ADDY Award at the 2018 National American Advertising Awards ceremony, in Chicago, Il. This year's esteemed judging panel was comprised of industry experts from top advertising agencies from across the country. ADDY Award winners were selected from more than 34,000 entries nationally and won at local and regional levels before advancing to the national competition.
"Recognition on the national and international stage, shoulder to shoulder with tremendously talented individuals and agencies is an enormous honor." Lisa Gorham said.
