KitchenAid, the brand that's been offering essentials for the kitchenfor almost acentury, will return as a major sponsor of the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by Food & Wine October 17-20, 2013. Entering its sixth year, the four-day festival celebrates the world's greatest chefs, culinary personalities, winemakers and spirits producers, together with the city's best food and drink.

"The New York City Wine and Food Festival is one of the country's premiere culinary events," says Beth Robinson, senior brand experience manager for KitchenAid. "KitchenAid is thrilled to serve as official appliance sponsor, and to showcase our latest appliances to such an appreciative audience."

The festival's Grand Tasting, which has been relocated this year to Pier 94 at 55th Street and West Side Highway, offers walk-around tastings from the area's top wineries, spirit distillers and restaurants. Open from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, the Grand Tasting will feature an extensive display of KitchenAid major and small appliances. In addition, fully-equipped KitchenAid kitchens will serve as center stage for a series of culinary demonstrations by such celebrity chefs as Rick Bayless, Scott Conant, Bobby Flay, Robert Irvine, Emeril Lagasse, Martha Stewart, Michael Symon and Trisha Yearwood.

The KitchenAid display kitchen will feature some of the of the brand's newest appliances, including a new French Door refrigerator, featuring a sophisticated, platinum interior backdrop as an alternative to the traditional stark white finish; a 5-speed diamond blender, built with patented stainless steel blades and diamond-shaped pitcher to create an exclusive diamond blending system; and the Pro Line Series 16-cup food processor, featuring a hands-free, commercial-style dicing attachment.
