Want to experience an authentic Oktoberfest? Maybe you don't have to go to Munich this year. Philip Marie, located in Greenwich Village, is doing an Oktoberfest-themed "Pig in the Box" every Wednesday starting October 9th.

John Greco, the owner and executive chef of Philip Marie, always wants to surprise customers with his endless inspiration. Greco wants to add a german flavor to the menu by featuring a whole pig marinated for two-days in dark beer/stout served with a special stout sauce boasting hot and sweet peppers. The pig will be slow-roasted over organic charcoal in a specially constructed box in the outdoor cafe for all to see and savor. Keeping with the theme of Germany, a wide selection of bottle domestic and imported beer will also be added to this special menu. It's a three-course meal for $32.95/person.

Having been a neighborhood gem in Greenwich Village for 16 years, Philip Marie is famous for its brilliant collaboration for New American Cuisine and a wine list that boasts selections from the world over.

Philip Marie, located at 569 Hudson Street at W. llth Street is open for lunch & dinner from Tuesday to Sunday. In addition to the weekly "Pig in the Box" feast, Philip Marie presents Clambake Tuesdays and BBQ Sundays. Reservations are strongly recommended by calling 212-242-6200 or visiting www.philipmarie.com.
