Stove & Tap, the Rustic-American restaurant concept heralded by former Stephen Starr alums Justin Weathers and Chef Biff Gottehrer, will open it's doors to the public on Friday March 11.
The former Molly Maguires location on the corner of Wood St. and Main St. in Lansdale has undergone a complete renovation under Weathers' direction. "Our goal from the start was to make the restaurant more inviting and comfortable. I am beyond excited for our guests to see what we've accomplished."
Chef Biff Gottehrer, formerly of The Dandelion and JG Domestic in Philadelphia, has developed a wide ranging menu complete with flatbreads, pastas, and his signature fire-grilled entrees. Highlights on the menu include the Tap Smoked Cheesesteak made with ribeye and Gottehrer's special "beer cheese," Mushroom & Asparagus Flatbread with truffle oil and a cauliflower cream, and the Bourbon Barrel Planked Salmon.
"Stove & Tap's menu is our take on Classic American dishes combining the freshest, local ingredients with big, bold flavors," said Gottehrer. He expects The Smoked Chicken Pot Pie to be a signature menu item; it is highlighted by bacon, oyster mushrooms, and fresh carrots. "Biff's Fried Chicken" entrée is prepared in a buttermilk brine and topped with a spiced honey glaze.
The restaurant's beverage options will be complete with 12 rotating draft beers focused on American microbrews and a specialty cocktail list highlighted by the Lansdale Mule made with Lansdale's own Boardroom Vodka
Reservations are encouraged for opening weekend and can be booked on the restaurant's website http://www.stoveandtap.com
