CALGARY, ALBERTA(Marketwired - Oct. 23, 2013) - Good Earth Cafes Ltd, parent company of Good Earth Coffeehouse, has announced plans to expand its authentic coffeehouse concept into Ontario. The coffeehouse chain is presently operating in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan, with 42 locations.
Gerry Docherty, President, has sights on growth throughout Ontario through the company's successful franchise model. Good Earth's expansion strategy includes seeking multi-unit franchise operators initially, with a secondary push for single-unit franchisees in smaller markets.
Good Earth's Real Estate division is evaluating sites in larger centres - Greater Toronto Area and Ottawa - as well as mid-markets like London, Barrie, and Oakville. "Smaller markets supported by a university or college like Guelph and Kingston are also on our radar due to the unique nature of these towns and how well the Good Earth resonates with people in university-based communities," says Docherty.
Urban real estate, such as office building and retail developments with excellent street presence and high traffic, are key to the expansion. Suburban and neighborhood settings, and non-traditional retail sites such as university campuses, and health-and-wellness facilities, are also targeted.
Good Earth Coffeehouse invites interested parties to learn more about franchise opportunities in Ontario.
"We welcome the chance to tell the Good Earth story, and share our exciting opportunities with Ontarians. A Good Earth Coffeehouse franchise will appeal to people who want to feel good about what they are doing - for their own lifestyle and for their communities."
