Emile Henry announces the "Bread Makes the Meal" giveaway that begins today and culminates on November 17, National Homemade Bread Day. Any bread lover can enter. A randomly selected entrant will receive a dream bread baker's kit. The concept behind this month long celebration is to encourage anyone who has ever thought about baking bread at home, to give it a try, whether it is a simple sandwich loaf or an earthy artisan bread.

Emile Henry has borrowed the name, "Bread Makes the Meal", from bread baker and teacher, Priscilla Martel and has partnered with her to spread the story of how to make bread on http://bit.ly/breadmakesthemeal. Bakers of any level can enter a recipe for a chance to win the "Bread Makes the Meal" giveaway on the Emile Henry USA facebook page http://bit.ly/BreadKitGiveaway

To enter, home bakers need only to go to the facebook page and submit one of their favorite bread recipes. Bakers can enter as many times as they want. The one requirement is that they enter a different recipe each time they enter. The winner of the giveaway will receive a bread baker's kit chocked full of bread baking items just in time for Thanksgiving.

The prize includes an Emile Henry ceramic Bread Cloche, 6-quart Duralex glass bowl, Rsle Kitchen Digital Scale, Large Lku Baking Mat, Shun Sora Bread Knife and a bag of King Arthur All Purpose Flour. The prize is valued at about $400.

"You don't need an arsenal of equipment to make good bread. A bowl, your hands and an oven are a good place to start," says Martel. "But many accessible tools help bread making go from good to great and the tools in this baker's prize kit are a baker's dream."

One of these dream items is the Emile Henry Bread Cloche. The ceramic Bread Cloche with its bell shaped cover traps steam from the baking bread to create an environment similar to a steam-injected oven. The steam gives the bread a crunchy, chewy crust. Like all Emile Henry products, the Bread Cloche is made of all natural materials in France and is backed by a ten-year warranty.

A new recipe with tips and tricks will be posted each week leading up to National Bread Day at http://bit.ly/breadmakesthemeal.
