Whether visitors are coming from San Francisco or Los Angeles, Cambria is the perfect place to press pause on a road trip adventure and unwind. It's the halfway point between the two major cities-with a variety of lodging properties, delicious restaurants, exciting sights, and engaging activities, motorists will leave Cambria for the next leg of their journey feeling refreshed and relaxed. On Main Street in Cambria, everything is close by, so visitors can park their bikes and discover all this little coastal town has to offer. Below are some of the things that road trippers and motorcyclists are sure to enjoy during their next Highway 1 adventure.
With Highway 1 still closed north of Ragged Point due to mudslides, the road trip is even more special: the Nacimiento-Fergusson Road detour takes riders and drivers up into the hills above the coast, offering exciting, curvy roads and stunning views. Coming from the north or south, take this detour through Paso Robles and enjoy a new side of the Central Coast.
EAT & DRINK
Breakfast at Cambria Coffee Roasting Company
Grab a coffee and an olallieberry muffin (or any other delicious baked treat) at any point during your stay-there's an upstairs balcony that's perfect for scoping out the local motorcycle and automobile scene. The gourmet and specialty coffees offered at this quaint, local hotspot are roasted in-house, meaning you've likely never tasted fresher brews.
Lunch at Boni's Tacos
This place may be described as a "hole in the wall," but everyone knows that's where to go for the best tacos. Boni's is one of Cambria's best-kept secrets. Customers rave about the carne asada and al pastor, but try the unique potato taquitos, too.
Dinner at Robin's Restaurant
Robin's is known for its creative international fare, farm-to-table selections, and charming atmosphere. It's located in a historic building, but you'll likely be distracted by the incredible food and wine selection.
Dessert at Linn's Easy as Pie Café
It wouldn't be a trip to Cambria without some famous olallieberry pie. This local staple is beyond delicious, but honestly, we won't fault you for trying some of Linn's other delicious olallieberry desserts!
Drinks at Mozzi's Saloon
Established in 1866, Mozzi's Saloon is the one and only historic biker bar in Cambria. Completely remodeled in 2007 with the original ambiance of yesteryear-full bar, live music, pool and snooker tables, friendly atmosphere, and bar menu-Mozzi's has it all.
