Champagne Taittinger recently presented a stunning "Christmas in July" event at NoMo in SoHo where they showcased their brand and the art of celebrating the holidays. There were exciting Champagne, food and decorating ideas that make gatherings shine bright.
At the event, Champagne Taittinger partnered with Calvisius Caviar, Urbani Truffles, and renowned master chocolatier, Jacques Torres, to highlight the perfect marriage of Champagne with holiday fare. Whether you are serving appetizers, a delicious entrée, or an artisanal dessert, Champagne Taittinger is an extraordinary complement for your favorite foods. The festivities had elaborate décor that included lighting by Carine Le Garrec of The Fairy Light Factory.
In addition, Julie Qui, oyster expert of "In a Half Shell" worked closely with Champagne Taittinger's Artistic Director, Vitalie Taittinger and Sommelier, Chantelle Pabros to create excellent oyster and Champagne pairings. The creamy texture of an oyster does not overpower the cleansing perlage of Champagne. The two are completely complimentary.
Champagne Taittinger is one of the last remaining major marquee Champagne houses that is actively owned and managed by the Taittinger family. Their Champagnes are dominated by Chardonnay giving them a signature elegance and delicacy. Currently, Champagne Taittinger is distributed globally in 140 countries.
Vitalie Taittinger, the Artistic Director of Champagne Taittinger, joined her family's Champagne house in 2007. Vitalie has led the marketing and communications efforts utilizing her art and design training to move the iconic brand forward. Her personal mission is to develop and reinforce the image of the company in visual identity and design. Vitalie was also recently appointed as Champagne Taittinger's Global Ambassador and can be seen in advertisements all around the world.
Champagne Taittinger's portfolio consists of Brut La Francaise NV, Prestige Rose NV, Prelude Grands Crus NV, Brut Millesime 2012, Blancs De Blancs 2006, Rose 2006, Nocturne NV and Nocturne Rose NV.
Here are a few tips from the experts for our readers when they serve Champagne Taittinger.
-Champagne should always be served at about 45 degrees so refrigerate it prior to consumption.
-Pick a glass, either a coupe that is ideal for making a champagne tower, or a classic white wine glass.
-Unwrap the foil and pop the cork gently. Be sure to leave the cage on as removing it may end in a bubble disaster, especially if the champagne is not cold enough.
-Pour steadily and slowly against the side of the glass rather than into the bottom so that the champagne maintains it bubbles.
-And, of course, "Cheers."
