Today Breckenridge Brewery kicked off the fall season by releasing the first installment of its Nitro Series seasonal line: Nitro Pumpkin Spice Latte stout. Infused with nitrogen, Nitro Pumpkin Spice Latte is a heartwarming stout to be enjoyed after a hike to see the aspen leaves turning or watching a football game with friends. While pumpkin beers continue to proliferate the market, Breckenridge is among the first to release a Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe that is infused with nitrogen.
Made with real pumpkin and Coffee Cabin Company beans that are roasted in Breckenridge, Colorado, Nitro Pumpkin Spice Latte is brewed with dark roasted malts to yield a perfect balance of malty sweetness. It is then spiced with cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and ginger. The calculated combination of spices, coffee, and pumpkin flavors presented with the velvety texture of nitrogen offers a strong coffee aroma, sweet finish, and creamy head much like the desired foam atop a freshly made latte.
"Nitro Pumpkin Spice Latte highlights evocative flavors for the fall, which are enhanced by the soft, smooth characteristics of nitrogen and gives the beer its latte character," explained Todd Usry, President and brewmaster of Breckenridge Brewery. "There are a lot of pumpkin beers out there and we wanted to make something truly distinctive and delicious that would appeal to a variety of palates. Nitrogen offers a different palate experience that we think will entice current Pumpkin Spice Latte enthusiasts while bringing others to enjoy our recipe. We're proud of our creation and are excited to get it to market."
Nitro Pumpkin Spice Latte stout joins Nitro Lucky U IPA and Nitro Vanilla Porter, both year-round releases in The Nitro Series. Breckenridge's innovative nitrogen-charged can allows these beers to be enjoyed anywhere. The Nitro Series is packaged in 4-packs and is available where Breckenridge Brewery beer is sold. Nitro Pumpkin Spice Latte will be available from September through October until the next seasonal nitro release.
