Boulder Canyon Authentic Foods the nation's fastest-growing, minimally-processed kettle chip brand 1 underscores its position as category innovators with the introduction of three new uniquely-flavored potato chip offerings cooked in premium, better-for-you oils. Coconut Oil Pineapple Habanero, Olive Oil Sweet Vinegar and Olive Oil Red Chili kettle-cooked potato chips are cooked in 100 percent oils and are seasoned with clean, simple ingredients. The chips become available at select grocery and natural food stores nationwide this month with a suggested retail price of $3.49 per 5.25 oz. bag.

Olive Oil Red Chili packs a punch of heat into each bite while the Olive Oil Sweet Vinegar flavor balances perfectly between sweet and savory. Coconut Oil Pineapple Habanero offers a little bit of everything for the snack lover looking for sweet, spicy and savory flavors in one delicious bite. In addition to the distinct seasoning combinations, the use of unique cooking oils offers a superior clean finish with no oily aftertaste.

"Boulder Canyon has always been about pushing the envelope on unique flavor combinations while using simple, easy-to-read ingredients that consumers trust, and that has allowed us to carve a nice niche within the premium snack food category," said Steve Sklar, senior vice president and general manager for Boulder Canyon Authentic Foods. "The flavors we're introducing are unique, but what really makes these chips different is the fact that we cook in 100 percent pure oil, so we're not using blended oils simply for marketing purposes. The result is a remarkable difference in taste and quality, and they are meaningfully better for you as well."

Boulder Canyon first introduced healthy snack fans to its unique oil potato chip line in 2011 with the release of Olive Oil Sea Salt kettle chips, then in 2013 with Avocado Oil Canyon Cut snacks featuring thick, ridged slices of premium potatoes. Since that time, the company has expanded its use of unique oils to include kettles chip varieties cooked in coconut oil in 2015 as well as a new flavor jalapeno-flavored variety cooked in avocado oil. Additionally, Boulder just last month introduced Real Thin Pop, the first ready-to-eat popcorn on the market seasoned with avocado, coconut and olive oils.

Like all Boulder Canyon snacks, Coconut Oil Pineapple Habanero, Olive Oil Sweet Vinegar and Olive Oil Red Chili feature no cholesterol, no trans fats and no MSG. Additionally, the chips are non-GMO certified, gluten-free, kosher and vegan.

Boulder Canyon continues to push the boundaries of traditional snack foods with a belief that real food ingredients taste better than processed foods ever could.
