Benihana, the nation's leading operator of Japanese-inspired teppanyaki and sushi restaurants, is encouraging guests to invite friends and family to a virtual dinner party for the chance to win a "Be the Chef" experience at the restaurant.
"Our 'Be the Chef' experience at Benihana is truly a memorable event unlike any other," said Benihana Chief Executive Officer Tom Baldwin. "Our guests are able to learn the art of teppanyaki from one of our chefs and attempt to master a couple of Benihana's world-famous tricks. They can then craft their own teppanyaki performance in front of their friends and family as they prepare them dinner with our chefs."
Guests can register to enter the Benihana Be the Chef Contest and invite friends and family to their party by visiting, www.BenihanaBetheChef.com now through Feb. 26. Guests will receive one entry for registering and additional entries for every seven friends who RSVP.
Thirteen grand prize winners will be randomly selected to receive a "Be the Chef" dinner party for the winner and seven of their friends. The dinner party includes a one-on-one teppanyaki training session for the guest chef and a meal of Benihana soup, salad, shrimp appetizer, hibachi vegetables, Splash 'N Meadow entrees, homemade dipping sauces and Japanese hot green tea for the chef's guests.
