A Beef Jerky Outlet store is opening in Bristol, Virginia this Thanksgiving week. New owners Julie Gobble and Dave Harless have worked hard to open the doors for the holiday season. The new outlet is located on 3101 Lee Highway, right across from a regional mega shopping center featuring a Walmart Supercenter, Sam's Club and Lowe's.

Paul Lyons, Beef Jerky Outlet Franchise COO, points out that the regions features a growing population with significant tourist venues and amenities. "Bristol has all of the characteristics that we look for in locating a Beef Jerky Outlet. Bristol has got it all: great demographics, shopping, tourism, NASCAR, country music and beautiful mountains.

The twin cities of Bristol, Virginia and Bristol, Tennessee straddle the state line and have a combined population of over 44,000. The Tri-City Area of Bristol, Kingston, TN and Johnson City, TN boasts a population of well over 300,000.

The Bristol area features the Bristol Motor Speedway, one of the top NASCAR tracks in the country. A new Cabela's outdoor store is opening spring of 2015 on Lee Highway right by the Beef Jerky Outlet store. Bristol is known as the "Birthplace of Country Music," as recognized by the US Congress in 1998. The Birthplace of Country Music Museum is scheduled to open in Bristol in August, 2014.

Beef Jerky Outlet stores feature the world's largest selection of beef, turkey and wild game jerky available under one roof. Walking into a Beef Jerky Outlet store, customers will be surprised by the wide selection of flavors. The bulk jerky is set out in authentic covered barrels for sale by the pound.

The authentic atmosphere of the stores is in line with the marketing philosophy of the franchise to keep it simple. This uncomplicated approach makes a Beef Jerky Outlet store easy to operate for the owner and a pleasure to shop for the customer.

Scott Parker puts it best, "When folks see the store their eyes light up; they want to get in and see what it's all about. They come inside and there are 200 or more different kinds of jerky, including exotics like alligator and kangaroo. We have some other items, toosausages, popcorns, peanut buttersbut make no doubt about it: beef jerky is the primary focus."

The store offers free samples for those who like to try a wide variety of flavors before purchasing. Sampling is the key to sales, according to Scott, "People appreciate the opportunity to experiment a little with the flavors. They commit to a purchase when they find something they love."

Scott adds that an informal, laid back interaction with the customers is part of the Beef Jerky Outlet's attraction as a franchise. "If you are looking for a quality franchise that is also social and fun, then we may be the right fit for you."
