Pergola is an easy choice for our "Bar of the Week" with their stunning atmosphere, delicious food, an exciting beverage program and excellent service. If you love hookah (and who doesn't), this is the place for you. There's something truly exotic about Pergola, a Mediterranean retreat in the middle of Manhattan.
Pergola's space has many dimensions, from the stylish bar and comfortable dining areas to the Sunroom balcony loft and Shade Lounge for intimate gatherings. Come solo, bring a date, or gather with friends. Pergola is ready to impress but it's totally accessible.
We stopped by on a Tuesday evening and enjoyed some of their popular small plates that work perfectly with their inspired cocktails. The Mezze Platter ($14) and Feta Tasting ($14) are ideal for sharing. Rave reviews for their Zucchini Fritters ($14) and the Phyllo Cigars ($14), perfectly seasoned and filled with tender ground lamb or chicken. These are great bar bites but also make for tasty starters if you decide to enjoy a gourmet lunch or dinner by Chef Nester Moina.
Pergola's bar menu has a fine selection of beer, wine and spirits or you can indulge in one of their signature cocktails (all $14) like the "Bangkok Banger" with Bombay Sapphire, "Jalisco Rose" with Espolon Tequila or "Spearmint 75" with Tito's Vodka.
Pergola is ideally situated for midtown shoppers, theatergoers and area commuters. Gather your group and head over for the after work happy hour with food and drink specials.
