Nightly music, delicious cocktails, tapas and a welcoming staff are just some of the reasons we choose the Cuba Lounge at Victor's Café for our "Bar of the Week." They have just the right vibe for you to enjoy this very special place that brings the best of the Caribbean to Midtown. The intimate bar and lounge area are ideal for stopping by for a drink, date night or group get-togethers. We suggest this spot before or after the theater or whenever you are in the Broadway area.

We stopped by on a Friday night and enjoyed their live music with a fantastic group of musicians that make the Cuba Lounge a truly vibrant place. And while there are nice seating options, you may prefer to stand by the bar and sway to the Cuban beat. The music is just the right level for your listening pleasure and for conversation.

Bar Manager Aaron Valdez has a beverage menu that is sure to please. Try their Mojito Classico ($12) or a "Cocktail Creation" like the Hemingway Daiquiri ($14). Cuba Lounge also features drinks that are "Tropical Light" like their Consentida ($12) with Voli Mango Coconut Vodka. They have a fine wine list and delicious refreshing Sangria choices by the glass, ½ pitcher or pitcher include Red Sangria, White Sangria and Champagne Sangria.

Victor's "Evolution of Cuban Cuisine" menu features traditional and contemporary menu items with a real flair. You can enjoy the tapas menu in the Cuba Lounge with tasty choices to accompany your drinks like their Fritas Cubanos ($10) sliders served with matchstick fries, Ceviche de Pargo ($16), or the 1492 Aperitivo Cubano ($29 serves two) their great selection Cuban appetizers.

Victor's Cuban Café is well known as a gourmet Cuban restaurant that has been family owned and operated for over 50 years. At their Cuba Lounge, you can enjoy the traditions that has made Victor's a favorite of New Yorkers for decades.

Victor's Café and the Cuba Lounge are located at 236 W.52nd Street (just off Broadway) in New York City. For more information, visit www.victorscafe.com or call (212) 586-7714.
