American Whiskey is our "Bar of the Week." Rounding out its first year anniversary, this inviting spot is settling beautifully into Midtown Manhattan. Located in the Chelsea neighborhood, just a few blocks away from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station, American Whiskey is uniquely suited to any audience, any mood.

Whether you want an inventive cocktail, beer, wine, or a glass of the finest bourbon, this is your place. American Whiskey features over 150 American-made whiskeys. More pleasing than any typical sports bar, enjoy BLT and burger sliders or their delicious jumbo lump crab cake while you watch a Giants game. With over 30 monitors, you can always catch your favorite sports action seven days a week.

With natural wood tones and attractive mellow lighting, there's a real down-home feeling; one that is complimented by the prompt, friendly service and a menu that highlights delicious drinks and comfort foods.

American Whiskey's original cocktail menu includes inventive mixes like "Giggle Water," a crowd pleasing combination of Four Roses, Licor 43, root beer and orange bitters. Their smoky, sultry, "Strike Me Dead" has Rittenhouse Rye and adds in black pepper maple syrup and maple bitters for a distinctive and potent taste, perfect to usher in the Autumn season.

As a starter or small plate, American Whiskey's Smoked Wings are prepared using a few innovations that lift them into the elite ranks of the best buffalo wings. Beer brined with no breading or batter, the skin is crispy and charred and they are garnished with bleu cheese. Their Tater Tots Fried in Duck Fat are a model of blissful crispiness and crunchiness, browned to a point of perfection. Try American Whiskey's distinctive Braised Short Rib Sandwich with salsa verde. The succulent meat and hearty salsa make it truly memorable.

Head over to American Whiskey for some real Southern hospitality and great food and drink. Open for lunch, happy hour, dinner and late night, there is also event space upstairs. You'll be a regular at this midtown spot in no time.
