Tikka Indian Grill recently had its grand opening in late October and they have already made a big splash in the hip Williamsburg, Brooklyn neighborhood. Located on Grand Street, the restaurant has a very welcoming presence with a comfortable, fresh décor that makes you feel right at home. Open for both lunch and dinner seven days a week, Tikka's distinctive food selections are incredibly delicious. Bursting with all the right flavors, the variety of dishes will please many different tastes and encourage you to come back again and again.

Executive Chef Mallika Khan, originally from Bangladesh, has created both traditional and inspired selections that have a wonderful presentation. Each of her dishes is a feast for the eyes and the palate. The menu encompasses both Northern and Southern Indian cuisine.

For starters, try the Paanchi Phoran Jinga, tossed shrimp simmered and covered in spices or the Tandoor Namona with an assortment of tandoori delicacies. There's a fine array of entrees such as the Chicken Vindaloo or Chicken Tikka Masala, some of our very favorites. Lamb dishes such as Rogan Josh, perfectly tender, is a delectable choice with delightfully subtle seasonings. There are also tempting selections for seafood lovers like the Jhinga Balchao with the ideal blend of coconut and curry. Vegetarian and Vegan options are varied and unique such as the Pumpkin Kala Chana, perfectly spiced red pumpkin and black peas. The selection of menu items is not at all overwhelming. Rather, Tikka Indian Grill has just the right number of dishes to please their guests.

For a sweet treat, the Mango Lassi beverage is thick and creamy yet still refreshing and pairs wonderfully with your food. Tikka Indian Grill is BYOB while they wait for their liquor license. For now, owner Syed Hossain likes it this way. Surrounded by bars and wine shops, guests can focus on the cuisine at Tikka.

The service is friendly and attentive and invites even a first-time visitor to be one of Tikka's regular customers. Tikka is a great eatery for a first date, a family meal, or a special celebration.

And with offerings on Seamless in the Williamsburg area, you don't have to leave home to enjoy Tikka Indian Grill's cuisine. Catering is also available.
