Max Visocnik was a veteran himself. So when a veteran or someone currently serving in the military stopped by his restaurant in the German Village area of Columbus, Max always found room to serve those who protect us every single day.
More than 41 years later, Max's spirit lives on at Max & Erma's restaurants across the country. On Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, participating Max & Erma's locations will salute veterans and active military personnel with a free Best Cheeseburger in America Combo meal.
Members of the armed forces will enjoy a cup of Max & Erma's signature Tortilla Soup or side house salad, a juicy, award-winning Cheeseburger hand-crushed from fresh, never frozen beef, with seasoned fries and one of Erma's fresh baked cookies.
"We try to take time every day to thank those in the military and their families for their service and sacrifice," said Steve Weis, Max & Erma's president. "We hope offering veterans and active service personnel a free Best Cheeseburger in America Combo on Veterans Day will help these families come together, share stories and create new memories."
To take advantage of the offer, veterans and active personnel must show their military I.D. to their server. The offer does not apply to carry-out.
