Nordic Ware, creator of the iconic Bundt Pan, is celebrating Minnesota Bundt Day on Friday, November 15, 2013. This special day each year was originally proclaimed by the Governor of Minnesota in honor of Nordic Ware's 60 th anniversary, making 2013 the eighth annual Minnesota Bundt Day while coinciding with National Bundt Day! The celebration signifies the time just before the Thanksgiving holiday in which most families are pulling out recipes, preheating the oven and baking more than ever! Consumers will be reminded to get their kitchens ready for the holiday baking season by making sure they have the proper tools to create their finest culinary delights, as well as the inspiration necessary to make it a social and family experience. National Bundt Day pays homage to an iconic piece of American culture that often was the first baking experience for many. The celebration also collectively demonstrates that we know our way around the kitchen once again no matter how busy, how old or how foreign an experience it may seem to be.

Nordic Ware has stood the test of time from its inception in 1946, to its recent transition from middle class marvel to gourmet comfort food status. In fact, Nordic Ware has grown 50 percent in sales volume in the past five years.

In the fall of 2009, Nordic Ware announced the opening of a new 60,000 square foot expansion to their St. Louis Park manufacturing operations and in 2013, Nordic Ware added another 70,000 square feet to accommodate its growing market share. These expansions demonstrate Nordic Ware's ability as a family-owned and operated, American-made company to successfully compete against foreign made products.

"Our Nordic Ware brand is known for quality, and durability," says David Dalquist, CEO of Nordic Ware. "We believe that our American-made products offer customers a better value and last longer in part because Nordic Ware places great emphasis on quality assurance which we are better able to control manufacturing here in the US. We also believe that the infrastructure and government policies in our country minimize the environmental impact of manufacturing products here as compared to overseas."
