Pilobolus, an exciting collaborative dance company incorporating modern dance techniques that re-shape and re-configure the human body, will be at the Center on Friday, April 19th at 8:00 pm. Audiences will delight at the creativity that the company explores in their pieces.
HAl Holbrook takes to the Mayo stage on Saturday, April 20th at 8:00 pm. The famed actor will perform his signature piece, Mark Twain Tonight, with heartfelt enthusiasm for the American author. This production has been a signature piece of Holbrook's for more than five decades. Mark Twain Tonight is a living, breathing American theatrical masterpiece.
As a musical venue, Mayo Performing Arts Center will present Esperanza Spalding: Radio Music Society, on Friday, April 26th at 8:00 pm. Bassist, vocalist, and composer, Esperanza Spalding, is deeply rooted in jazz, but is looking to make an even greater mark in the musical world. She is the first jazz musician to receive the Grammy for "Best New Artist." She has a natural beauty and an uncanny talent that may define the future of jazz.
